    Hello,
I have came across your post regarding Tarmon Gai’don (the MUD). I played for years and ran (as ML and IMM) several guilds. I have lost contact with just about everyone I played with I was trying to find Gary’s (Rhuarc’s) info to see I could get game file and play around locally – Phil (Nekkarin) is no where to be found as well. Anyhow, it was nice finding a post that sums up a lot of the same experiences and feeling I have about my time on Tarmon Gai’on.

    Sincerely,
    Alan

Oh that’s fantastic to hear from someone else who played! I ran into someone on a Twitch feed once who did too, and we completely took over the bewildered chat geeking out about our beloved MUD. Surely one of them must have kept the files? Surely? I never even knew any of their real names, so I’m helpless when it comes to how to find them, but they put _so much_ work into it! It would be terrible for it not to have been saved, on an external hard drive somewhere or something. (Or what about The Mud Connector? Did they just serve as the portal or did they do any hosting? Might they have backup files of some kind?)

If you do find any of them, do please let me know! It was a shame when it disappeared, and it was by far the most lovingly-modded M** of the many I played.

Thanks again for saying hi! Tarmon Gai’don was a good time.

Ooh wait, Gary McNickle? There’s one connected to the game who has founded a bunch of tech startups. Let me see if it’s him.

Bingo! That’s Rhuarc for sure. Wow what a flash back.

Ta daa! Now we just have to hope he kept the files…
